NCGUB Response to 'Ill-informed' Article About Daw Aung San Suu Kyi in the Guardian

On 11 November, the Guardian carried an article: Not such a hero after all  by Cathy Scott-Clark and Adrian Levy questioning Daw Aung San Suu Kyi's leadership and direction and accusing her of "political naivety and moral high-handedness".  The following is NCGUB's response in the Guardian to that "ill-informed" article.

ASEAN Urged To Launch UN-Backed Inquiry into Rights Abuses in Burma

As human rights violations continue unabated in Burma, particularly the imposition of extremely harsh prison terms on non-violent democracy activists, the NCGUB has called on ASEAN Governments to initiate a UN-backed Commission of Inquiry into inhumane practices against dissidents in Burma.

The Burma Fund Launches Report on Findings of 'Open Heart Letter Campaign'

The Burma Fund has studied letters written by people from all walks of life in Burma about their suffering under military rule.  The letters were sent to the Burmese generals through the 88 Generation Students.  The findings of the study was published on 24 November 2008.
